Plot : Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is a horror movie that takes one into an uninhabited mansion on an island. Sally Hurst (Bailee Madison) is a lonely child, who’s an introvert and keeps things to herself only. She pays a visit to her father, Alex (Guy Pearce) and his new girlfriend Kim (Katie Holmes). Alex and Kim are busy restoring a 19th century mansion as they look upon it as their perfect “home sweet home.” Catch Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark video and witness an unexpected turn of events when Sally accidentally comes across the basement of the mansion while playing around the place. It’s here that she sees certain bewildering creatures that invite her to be a part of their family. As this little girl resists their approaches, she also tries to warn her father and his girlfriend about the imminent danger. There’s this myth in the backdrop of the entire plot that the mansion’s owner had disappeared centuries ago. It’s due to the enhanced sensitivity of Sally that the elders are apprised of evil spirits lurking in the unknown depths of the very mansion they are trying to resurrect.
